Mouse Freezes after sleep

I have a problem about 50% of the time. When I wake my computer up from sleeping either by moving the mouse or striking a key , my cursor will not move when the desktop appears.
I use a Logitech wireless laser mouse and a wired keyboard to the usb ports on a HP 1640n running Vista. All updates have been done including the latest drivers.
I also tried using other usb ports, but it is the same result.
 
I forgot to mention batteris are fresh and have been changed several times on the mouse, unless you mean the battery on the mother board.
 
No, the mouse. wait and somebody will reply.

The battery on the motherboard would be diffirent.
loosing time and date.

Pretty typical issue...always has done it from XP to Vista. There is no fix that I am aware off.


I can't even use sleep-mode anymore now that I overclocked...refuses to boot back up :/
