Mouse/keyboard lights

When I turn off my PC the mouse and keyboard lights don't turn off (never) Isn't the power supposed to stop going through the P/S when I shut down? What can I do?

its common, some motherboards, go into a standby mode, where by a space bar can restart them, what motherboard is it?
