Mouse Problem

Hi
I have just formatted my HD and re-installed Win XP Pro + SP2

Only problem i have is my mouse when browsing the net or folders, the scroll button is so slow, it scrolls lines...
Even the up / down arrows on the webpages just scroll lines.

I have gone to control panel --> Mouse, and changed my 'lines per scroll'

I have also used another mouse.

Both mouse's i have used are USB, when i plug the USB in, windows automatically installs the driver, and i have also tried with the PS/2 convertor on.

Both mouse's were working fine before, am i missing a setting somewhere. Thanks

If your using Firefox make sure smooth scroll is off
To do this:
Open Firefox
Go to Tools, select Options...
Choose the Advanced tab
Under the Advanced tab, select the General tab
Make sure Smooth Scrolling is unchecked and Auto Scrolling is checked.
Click OK

It should look like this:

My smooth scrolling is NOW unchecked....but still it is doing the same...
