Mouse Scroll Randomly Misbehaves

I have a Logitech Wireless Mouse M505. When playing games with a hotbar (e.g. Minecraft), the scrolling will sometimes act weird (not the physical scroll wheel, but in game). Frequently, it seems like moving the wheel barely will scroll fifty times extremely fast. Conversely but less frequently, it will take multiple clicks on the wheel (its not free spinning) to move it once. Usually, my fix for this is completely restarting my game once or twice. Does anyone know what this problem could be caused by or how to fix it?

Yes, I have tried that, but it doesn't work. I'm starting to think its the drivers or an incompatibility with the game.

I would lean towards the driver, but if you aren't getting the same behavior in windows then it could be something with the way the game polls the wheel.

I also have SetPoint and Microsoft Mouse installed. Would that affect it in any way? And I never notice changes in windows except the mouse occasionally feels jumpy and seems to skip around when I move it.
