movie maker question

hello im trying to make a little amv. and i tried using windows movie maker but whenever i try to open a video in it , it freezes the program so i downloaded a vid editing program called avidemux and it lets me edit videos but i do not kno how to add audio into it? if anyone has any experience in this i would appreicte the help. thanks!

Extension such as .amv won't work with Movie maker.
Your best bet is to convert your videos to .wmv or a proper format supported by WMM.
