Moving Desktop Items

moving ? No. Why not use the upgrade options via the win7 setup ?
then again, most might consider a fresh install
 
2 different computers. Just finished a new build, with Win 7 and want to copy all of the desktop shortcuts from my old computer. Is there an easy way?
 
Copying data(pictures, music, videos, etc) over to the new computer is not hard at all. HOWEVER, any programs would have to be reinstalled as they create entries in the registry to make the program work correctly. Use a flash drive to transfer your files over or burn them to cd and transfer them that way. But again all programs would have to be reinstalled as you can't copy them from computer to computer.
