Ah ok, then what you need to do is find out what his works email server information is and granted he isnt using a pst all his email should sync down to his account after you set it back up another computer. If he is using a pst file you can find this out by going to TOOLS-OPTIONS-MAIL SETUP-DATA FILES and will show what PST files you are using and you can copy those from one computer to another and add them in.
To see how the account is setup go to tools-email accounts-click next on view or change existing accounts and click change on his account.
Also he is probably using a VPN, my guess is you will probably need to contact his IT dept if that isnt already setup.
