Moving Files

I have an unbootable laptop that a friend of mine would like me to back up onto my desktop. The problem is that my friend has a password-protected profile, and even though I have the password, I don't know how to get explorer to show me the contents of the Documents and Settings folder. Is there a way?
 
You need to take ownership of the files to get access to them. Google it and you can get detailed instructions on how to take ownership of files.
