Moving forum to a new server - questions..

I currently have a forum hosted on an unreliable server, so I opened a new account with Yahoo! Small Business which fits my needs better.. MySQL and all other requirements have been met, so software isn't an issue, but I have a few questions;

1.) I've done a full backup of my site through cPanel, does this mean that all posts/threads on my site are also backed up? Will the threads/posts be deleted once I move the site to a new server??

2.) Does anyone know what tool I'll need to use to upload my 'backup' to the new server on Yahoo! ..? The tools I've found all indicate that they expect me to build a new site using their lame templates... but I've got a great site, I just want to move it to the new server.

Sorry if this is vague.. I can explain in more detail if required.

If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it a great deal :D

I backed up mysql as well as home directory.. however, I downloaded a complete back-up of my site, which includes both of those.

In any event, I cancelled the move for now.. I'm planning on setting up a new server with a new domain name, then transferring and sending a mass email to all of my members about the new site name =)

Personally I don't like yahoo's hosting at all. When I purchased it at $8.99 I didn't even have mysql or php and it was well over priced compared to other web hosting providers that offer a better customer service.

Also, is the new server going to have cPanel on it or will it be a different one?
