Moving house what will I need to make desktop wireless?

Hi hope you can help, I have got a hp desktop computer which isnt wireless, when I move house the socket for all the router cables are not in the same room as I want to put my computer, when I spoke to my service provider they said I should get a dongle so that I can plug it into my USB and get wireless from my router that way, I dont understand what they mean so Im not sure what to look for to buy before I move, please can you help? as I dont want to have to run cables all over thank you

It seems to be totally unbranded, try to stick with the main brands like, belkin, netgear, tp-link.

You may also consider powerline adapters, so you can keep your hard wired connection instead of wireless.
