moving music

Hi, My computer crashes so I lost all the information on it. Fortunately I had my music on my ipod. I don't seem to be able to move music or playlists from my ipod into itunes. It seems like all I can do is move files from itunes to ipod and not the other way around. Is there anyway around this. Thanks so much if you can help

This gets into legal stuff, I'm afraid... It's made like that so you can't share music.

You may be able to recover the music from the HD is you have not formatted it yet. Try plugging it in as a slave.

How do you plug in something as a slave drive? What does slave drive mean?
