Moving program to new computer

I got a new computer with Win 7 and I want to move a program called Zoom Browser that came free with my Canon Camera. I downloaded the program to the new computer, but it will not allow me to install the program without the CD that came with the camera and I lost it.

I really like the program because it recognizes the camera and can work with it. I have other programs but they just aren’t very good and one from my Nikon camera doesn’t even run.

So is there a way to transfer the program over maybe through the network or maybe trick the new downloaded program to thinking the network drive is the original CD?

Thanks John, I believe that is where I did get the latest download, but I'll give it a second chance right now and I let you know.

You really can't transfer programs from one computer to another as when installed they create registry entries and other windows system files that make the program work correctly.

Thanks John, So anyway I just downloaded it on the new computer and it seems to be working. I'm not sure if this is a different download or not, but the first attempt to install definitely wanted the original CD.

So It appears to have worked, Thanks again.

Welcome. You most likely downloaded the updater which requires an already installed version to update it to the latest.
