Moving Secondary Hard Drive

Hey,

I got a new computer a while ago, and since my old one had two hard drives (one with the OS and one just for extra space) I'm finally getting around to wanting to move the old 'extra space' hard drive into the new computer.

I just wanted to know how I should go about doing that. Are there any special procedures to keep in mind for doing this? Or is it just a 'plug and don't worry about it' scenario?

Thanks for any responses.

Other than to turn the power off before installing the "old, extra space" drive, there are no special procedures.

You can move the drive to new computer. set the jumper on the back to slave 'S'.
the new will be 'M' for master. thats the boot with windows.

This applies to IDE drives but not SATA drives. We don't know for sure which the OP has.
