Moving the Monitor?

Hello, I am a new user with a simple query. I have been advised that moving my monitor from one location to another is somehow causing it damage. I move it a maximum of 10 feet a day, and I am careful to handle it gently. I don't see how this activity could damage it, and would appreciate a little insight on the issue. Your answers will be much appreciated.

No, moving it 10 feet a day shouldn't affect it at all, unless I'm completely missing something about monitors.

Thanks, but just to be 100% clear, the monitor may be tilted while moving, and the monitor's video source is changed. (cables being plugged in and unplugged) This seems like a no-brainer, but I need a second opinion.
