everything is on a hdd right now and i can clean install windows 7 to a ssd boot drive. but what about drivers and start-up programs? will i have to clean install these as well?
and i see that some things like 'my doc's", "pics", etc, can be moved from ssd to hdd(storage). so i assume those folders will still be on the os/ssd but the contents sent to them will be on the storage drive? file paths can be chosen for future progams/data as needed, so perhaps the same for the folders? what about changing file path on os folders so that data is sent to storage drive new folder?
ok, you can tell my inexperience from my ?'s.
before setting up boot drive with os, can i copy programs or data from hdd 'c' to hdd 'd', format hdd 'c', set up boot drive with os, then move items from hhd 'd' to boot drive? maybe ive answered my own ? by saying 'the programs need the drivers, so clean install is only or best option'?
is there any easy way to set up things like routers, msft office/outlook, etc, other than starting from scratch?

what about a mirroring program, that the boot drive doesnt come with?

the goal is of course to have only the required on boot drive to conserve space. (60gb)

these are the type of things i don't know and have questions about. any and all help appreciated.

I would put the OS and programs on the SSD and all your data on the other drive. Your best bet would be to do a fresh intall cause it will make things easier on your anyway. All programs and drivers would have to be installed all over again. But your going from an standard hard drive to an SSD, that in itself would make me want to do a fresh intall so I could get the fastest speed possible.

If you have a lot of games and software that you plan on installing you may want to install them to the other day.

is 'day',,,code for drive? you were thinking bay, and mistyped to 'day'?
hehe j/k
and i DID install them the other day! so now ill reinstall them.

thanks for the advise.

Day was supposed to be Drive. Don't know how i screwed that one up. Thanks for noticing though.
