Mozilla Thunderbird attaching pictures on Reply

I've been struggling to find an e-mail solution that works for me.

I have over 6 accounts that I need to be able to send from for each so I have all of them setup via IMAP using Thunderbird.

My most recent disappointment with Thunderbird is that I am unable to "reply" to a message that has picture attachments without also including those pictures in my reply. This can get very annoying and time-consuming when considering large attachments.

Does anyone know how to disable this? Does anyone have any other e-mail suggestions for my setup? - Don't say Gmail...it adds "on behalf of" to all my e-mails when I send from different addresses and I can't setup external IMAP accounts.

Thanks!

Hello,

This may help, removal of image content can be done with the 'Delete' key. Right click
on an image and Tb will outline it with small boxes at the corners and
center of each side. When this happens ude the Delete key to remove the
image.

This different behavior is a result of HTML supporting <Inline
Attachments> that plain text can not permit. Plain Text requires
<Attached Attachments>, so messages received in HTML but replied to by
plain text will automatically remove inline attachments.
