How do I get the task bar to clear the drop down box on foxfire?I have younger users in the house I do not want them to see all the places I have been.

Neither clearing private data or Ccleaner is removing the history in the pull down box.It clears cookies and the rest of the history but not the pull down box where you type in the internet address.Its the internet pull down box I am trying to have cleared.

I have gone into settings and have made sure to check the box that says clear private data upon exit but no luck yet.

Tools>security>clear now and check saved form and search history.

Firstly, are you running Firefox 3?

If so, Bookmarks are displayed in that bar along with history results. You can tell bookmarks from history results because they have a star next to them. If this is the case, this extension claims to change that behavior so that bookmarks are not displayed, but I have not tested it. Of course, if those sites are bookmarked, removing them from the drop down menu isn't going to stop people from finding them...
