MP3 conversion program.

I am looking for a MP3 conversion program that can covert more than one mp3 files at a time. It does not matter if the program is free or i have to pay for it as long as it has the top conversion quality.

I will be useing the converted mp3 files in my New MP3/mp4 player, so what Bit rate will save me the most space but still have outstanding quality? Most of my mp3 are 128kbps/44kHz or higher.

Are you trying to convert mp3 to mp3? If so, you won't get any higher quality by increasing the bit rate. Any mp3/mp3 conversion loses some quality. You have to have the bit rate higher in the initial conversion from say, wav files.

You can't save space and get better quality. I use 192Kbps as a decent compromise. I'm less concerned about space.

I mostly use dBpowerAMP Music converter (use in Explorer, select files, right-click for context menu). Recently added RazorLame but have not really used. Both will batch convert wav or mp3 and are free. I would think any converter will batch process files.

well, with saving space and quality.. 128 pretty much does it for you there.
you pretty much wont save more space and get good quality than 128 unless you prefer one over the other
