I have an MP3 and wen I checked out the Properties it says.

Sample Rate 44.1 kHz
And the MP3 Bit Rate is 48 kbps

Now I know that an MP3 Bit Rate of 32 kbps is like AM Radio and an MP3 Bit Rate of 98 is like FM Radio.

So what is an MP3 Bit Rate of 48 kbps like????

128kbps is CD quality so you are saying that a CD is crappy quality?

@Op since there is nothing that compares to the quality of 48kbps then I really can't give you an answer. The closet that comes to 48 kbps is 64 kbps which I believe most audiobooks use. So I guess it would be some where in the middle of a AM station and an Audiobook.
