Mp3 Player Problems (Sorry for the wrong topic)

I know it is the wrong topic but I just bought an mp3 player.

The mp3 player needs a SD disk and I just bought one today. When I put it into the mp3 player, and usb it to the computer it shows up as a Removeable drive but when I double click on it.. it says it can't access it and asks if i want to format the drive? I say yes, and then another error comes up saying that it can't be formatted. I cannot put any music in here or anything. what is wrong?

Make sure the write-protect switch on the card is not enabled. Also, if required, make sure the correct drivers for the player are installed.

All new cards need to be formatted, that part about it asking is correct, but write-protect being enabled on the card would cause it to say that it cannot be formatted. There's a small switch on the side of the card for write-protect.
