Is it possible to increase the capacity of my mp3 player by connecting a usb key to it with a female-female gender bender, or will that result in damage to one or both of the devices? the mp3 player is powered, but the usb key is not.

No that is not possible, nothing will be damdged, voltage is far too low for that. You cant add space to it by doing that unless somehow you loaded up drivers to tell the mp3 player to search in the USB key aswell....?

If you want to store more MP3 files to your player,just reduce the size of your mp3 files by using cool software stuff such as dietMP3.

Yes it will, but if you do it to a reasonable degree then it will be ok and will allow you to fit 10-20 more songs on it.

convert them from mp3 to wma. most mp3 players play wma aswell. all the music i put on my mp3 player, i convert to wma, the size is almost half of an mp3 and the sound quality loss is un noticable
