I need a program that can convert songs from MPEG-4 to WAV. Does anyone know of a free program in order to do this?

I am trying to get the songs converted so I can burn them onto a CD.

Thanks!

If you're trying to make an audio CD, then WAV files aren't going to be much use to you. You'd be better using something like iTunes to import and burn your music.

If you just want to create a CD for storage purposes, then a free trial of Goldwave should do the trick. It's got a batch converter.

Origionally I imported them into iTunes directly from the CD.

I now would like to convert them back in order to burn them onto another CD.

Sorry, you still haven't specified whether you want an audio CD (one that can be played in a CD player) or a data CD (one that can only be read using a computer).

If the former, then create a new playlist using the File/New Playlist menu in iTunes, select and drag the tracks into it, then click Burn in the top right corner. Before you do that though, make sure you go into Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Burning and check what you want to burn is set.

If the latter, then just use Goldwave to convert to whatever format you want (it does them all), then use the Windows CD burning Wizard to burn them to disk. Bear in mind WAV files are huge in size compared to mp3, as WAV is uncompressed. You'd be looking at Gigabytes of music for a couple of hours playback.
