MPEG, AVI, MOV won't play

Just recently my computer has stopped playing MPEG, AVI, and MOV video files. The only format that I can get to work on ANY media player is WMVs. I downloaded the XP Codec pack, so I know it's not a codec issue. I would really like to fix this problem, so please help me out if you can. Thanks in advance

Do you get any error messages or other indications that something has gone wrong?

Sounds like you have too many conflicting codecs in place.
1. Uninstall all them cross-conflicting codecs
2. Grab the ffdshow and AC3 filter
3. If they still dont play then open the movie files with GSpot to see what u need

What media player are you using?

At first I was trying Winamp. I know that Winamp isn't very good for video, so I tried WMP, and DiVX. I downloaded VLC media player and they work fine now, so Praetor was probably right.
