MS-7236 Ver 2.2 compatibility

I'm trying to upgrade my in laws PC for real cheap. The PC is running a MS-7236 Ver 2.2 motherboard with a Celeron D 336 CPU. Will this board run a core 2 duo 6700? I cant find much clarification on it other than they are the same socket.

Yeah that processor is supported. Just an FYI though the correct model number for that bored is MSI 945P Neo3 (MS-7236 v2.2)

Yeah I actually just found it. I found the cpu support list about 2 min ago as well. It was right under my nose the whole time i just didn't see it.
