I have a Win98b station on my network (yeah I know I should upgrade this node but we use it mainly to telnet into two other Unix boxes) with MS Word 2000 and Excel, etc.
Every time I try to start MS Word I get the following:
"Program performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown"
Details:
"Winword caused an invalid page fault in module VBE6.DLL at 017f:650d6d0b plus other register info.
Tried uninstalling MS Word then reinstall but no diff. Excell and the other office progs have no problems - only Word. Funny thing is that I can attach a MS Word document to a Winfax send and winfax will launch Word so I can view the document on the screen, then it sends the doc just fine.
Anybody have any ideas how I can get MS Word to breathe on this workstation? I can't figure this one out.
Thanks in advance...Don
I forgot to mention that MS Word used to work on this station
