msconfig Question

In XP Pro, can you uncheck every box in the startup tab of msconfig like in Home? If not what must you leave checked? And could I hurt anything by unchecking certain things? Thanks.

Well i have to have two things checked... one of mine is sound device, and the other is a video card thing.. if you scroll the the right look to see where the things are loacted on the hard drive. If you recognise the diredtory and want it there.. leave it. I know norton loads files through there, ati, and nvidia. But if you uncheck everything and everything works fine... your ok. Your computer will never put a required system program in there.. uncheck away!

I keep my antivirus file checked. "ccapp" for NAV 2005. That's all . Uncheck all the programs and see if it affects any of ur programs. There would not be much bad affect as u can keep the items to start again if u think to.
