mshta.exe trouble

Hello,
i'm new to this forum. Well here is the story. I needed to clean out my PC and installed a brand new Windows 2000 Pro. When opening the IE an error pops out saying that there is a problem with mshta.exe. It also seems to hapen when i open Add/Remove PRograms from COntrol Panel. Today I reinstaled it again, but no difference. The hard disk has been reformated every time i reinstaled. Here are my specs:


P4 2.4 (Overclocked at 3.2)
512 RAm
80Gb hard disk
128 mb geforce fx 5200

I found the following on the internet....



If you got following error msg the

Mshta.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows

If you get above error then type following command in RUN.

sfc /purgecache
sfc /scannow

I DON'T know anything about the two commands it suggests to run. It may pay to ask someone who does know before you run the commands. That would be up to you...
