ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 - $210 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131790

The ASUS one is $80 more expensive than the MSI one.

I'm still not sure what to look for when comparing motherboards to see which one is better. You would think that the ASUS is better since it is more expensive, but considering the following things, would there be any reason to buy the more expensive one? Could I get the less expensive one and be just fine?

CPU: AMD FX-8320
GPU: HD7870
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W /or/ CORSAIR CX600 600W

UPDATE: I see that the ASUS one is actually an Intel chipset. Other than that, are they pretty much the same?

The Asus one is better equipped I think. The P8Z68-V PRO/G3 is a decent little motherboard. It is slightly under what I got, which is a P8P67-WS Revo. The phase control should be either 8+2 or 12+2, which is pretty good. The GD65 is AMD, meaning it will have x16/x16 PCIe 2.0 expansion, and is 8+1 phase, so is a decent board.

It would be easier to know if you want intel or amd, a budget and what you plan to do with the computer and we could spec you a build that will operate just fine for you.
