Introduction
Nvidia's GTX 760 features the same architecture like the GTX 670, 660 Ti and GTX 770. In terms of performance, the GTX 760 should perform in between the GTX 670 and the GTX 660 Ti. They claim it to be the best valuable option for gaming at a resolution of 1080p/1200p. No current available game should be able to get this card on his knies using this resolution. To be sure of that, MSI offers his GTX 760 Gaming card factory overclocked and with the award-winning Twin Frozr design. In addition to that, the card offers full potential for even more overclocking with the 6 pin + 8 pin connector. With a retail price of around 210 euros, the MSI GTX 760 OC offers a far more valuable option than the older GTX 670.
Specifications and Features
Featuring several premium options, like the Hi-c and Solid CAPs, MSI promises the user a longer lifetime of the card. Also the Twin Frozr IV advanced thermal design should give you a longer guaranteed life of the GTX 760. The Twin Frozr is able to reach high clock speeds without switching to a triple fan design, like other companies are forced into. Another feature of the card is the gaming app to easily overclock the card even more, or to set it up to perform even more silent.
Now, let's have a look at the packaging:
As you can see on the pictures, the package includes these things:*
MSI sent us a little text about their company and what they're trying to achieve in 2014:

Product Showcase
The new cooler offers two fans to pump fresh, life-bringing cool air onto the heatsinks, and features a nice*black/red colored shroud design. Of course, the card's looks have no impact on its real-world performance numbers, as it's the cooling and acoustic levels that*matter when addressing the hardware's design. Anyway, MSI also did a great job on the looks of the cooler. We'll see how it performs though.
As you can see on the pictures, MSI's design looks very neat, cool and quality just springs to mind.
Testing Methods
For the process of these tests, we'll be running the testing environments at 1920x1080 at the maximum available graphical settings. We're not including tests at a resolution of 5760x1080, because we are missing one other screen to set it up at this time. This will change in the future though.
For the comparison, we use cards from the same price range or a little higher from both AMD and Nvidia, to show how it compares. For these tests, the card will be benched at both stock and overclocked settings, to give our readers and idea what this card can achieve if you're willing to roll up your sleeves and get a little dirty.
Games and benchmarks that we used for this review:
Test System
Our test system contains an older i7 2600K overclocked to 4.7GHz to ensure it still performs well against the newer CPUs.
Overclocking
We used the MSI Afterburner app to overclock the card. The card seems to have a locked voltage though... After some time we managed a stable overclock with +150 mhz on the core clock and +150 mhz on the memory clock. GPU-z says otherwise for the memory clock, which is contrary to what afterburner displays.
Overclocking Profile: CPU= 4700MHz, GPU= 1170MHz (1235 Boost)/1577MHz (and RAM=1600Mhz CL9)
