MSI mobo BIOS question

ok i got this mobo and i have a question on BIOS. In the BIOS it says PCIe Clock, then you can choose a clock speed. I was wondering what does this do (obviously set the PCIe clock), and should I up the clock?

Well that depends on whether or not you plan to OC the vpu core on the video card itself. If you are more or less into OCing then raising the core will depend if that is better then memory timings. If you have a fast core the vpu memory is geared for handling it. But raising the core speed also raises the card's temps as well if you don't have a good cooling setup there to keep it from cooking. An overheated card doesn't help anyone.

You have a good model card to run at stock settings anyways. When you have a lot to plan on stressing out your hardwares then you can get into OCing. But for just having a good running and stable system to work with, play games on, and of course find a good forum like this one running stock can save on a lot of headaches. For the next case here I still have to decide between sticking with Asus model or going with an MSI board like the one you are running there. The current case will be given a long needed rest and held onto for a time as a backup. When you have a backup then you can experiment with clocking things out a little at a time.
