msi or gigabyte mobo?

Which of the above mobo brand is recommended to go with the intel E6750 processor?

Besides that, some questions regarding the different gigabyte mobo models...
1.gigabyte P35-DS3L (no raid, audio codec ALC888)
2.gigabyte P35-DS3 (have raid, audio codec ALC889A)
3.gigabyte P35-DS3R (have raid, audio codec ALC889A)

Please correct me if any of the above features is incorrect.


Question 1: I do not need raid and why would P35-DS3 have raid where it does not have the "R" just like the P35-DS3R?

Question 2: Does a higher value audio codec produces better on board sound? Any difference between ALC888 and ALC889A?

Final question: Any difference between P35-DS3 and P35-DS3R? I do not see any much difference in them at all.........



Basically I do not need raid but need high quality onboard audio. So how do you think I should go about choosing it?

MSI P35 Platinum. Value for Money compare to Gigabyte. And MSI are good as well.

Strangely. Much before the gigabyte was well loved by cf. And strangely msi gains its praises.
Anyway, could somebody tell me are there difference in audio performance between the ACL888 and ACL889A audio codec?

MSI P35 Platinum ($145 MIR $20 @newegg) have similar spec with Gigabyte P35-DS4 ($178 @ newegg).
Both MSI and Gigabyte produce quality MB, I don't see the point of paying extra $50.

I have no idea what is the difference between ACL888 and ACL889A, but ACL889A is the later and better chipset. If you really want good audio performance, you need a sound card instead.
