So I accidentally turned off my power button, and I feel like an idiot. I can turn it back on, but only once I have the computer on. Can anyone tell me how to turn on the computer without the power button? Thanks.
 
Sounds to me like the power button was disabled or selected to "do nothing" when pressed.. so OP can toggle that setting if computer is on, but they cant turn it on as it is right now?// thats kinda what I am understanding? maybe

My battery is broken and needs to be charged constantly, but it got unplugged, so it shut down. I can turn the power buttons function back on in the settings or control panel, but I need my computer to be on.
 
So it sounds like the battery is shot and the charging port is probably broke. Remove the battery and just plug the charger in, does the laptop turn on? If not, its either a bad charging port or something happened to the motherboard.
