MSN premium not working with ie9

Does anyone run MSN premium with IE9. When I sign on with my MSN account websites like Bestbuy, you tube, etc. say either I cannot view or I will need to update soon. But if I just click on IE9 all the websites work fine. So I did a google search and found some people having the same issues, but I didn't see a fix. Does anyone no of a fix?

Thanks

Can I ask why you are using msn premium? Do you only have dial up access or are you using a dsl or cable internet connection?

My mom uses MSN Premium even though we have DSL, she liked it for the mail templates and because she's used to it. She runs it on Windows 7 w/IE9, but because MSN is a bit dated certain sites don't work well with it, so you will have to use IE or a different browser.

So as WRX guys points out, this is why I use it. I paid extra for msn premium just for the email layout. I have verizon fios and have used msn premium for I'd guess 10 years. In Jan./Feb. verizon no longer gives you msn with your services. I've tried firefox and didn't like it at all. I just tried google chrome doesn't seem that bad. I have the same hotmail account for years and just set up a gmail account. When I sign on using MSN I have a home page set up nicely along with a great email format. So I guess I'll use MSN until it expires in Jan./Feb. and then search for another search engine. Or meanwhile try out other search engines and try to get use to them. I'm like an old dog, who doesn't care for new ways. Unless of course there easier to navigate. This is odd that I have to pay for MSN and I can sign onto some websites. And doing a search I'm not the only one. Under the MSN help site it says were working diligently to solve this issue. Really, seems as if this is a huge SNAFU...... We'll as of now I can just click on IE9 and navigate fine, just not using MSN with IE9..... Doesn't this seem odd???

I'm trying to convince my mom to use MSN only for her e-mail, use Internet Explorer or Firefox for all the normal internet browsing because of how dated MSN's browser is.

You are getting a few things mixed up though. Yes MSN is a search engine, but you can use any search engine you want, you can even continue to use MSN's search engine if you discontinue service. You just won't be able to use their premium e-mail features.

Correct. I guess after soooo many years I sign on with a password and boom my home page comes up. All my local stuff, movies, news, etc. Then I can check my email, which I admit very nicely laid out. But from there, almost anything and everything I do, I google. Sooooo crazy huh. So can I d/l and run different browzers or is that not recommended i.e. firefox, google, ie9, etc.
