Multi screens after computer boots

I have a older computer with a celeron 1.7, I change the cpu to p4 1.7. I had problems changing the bios so I had to reset them and update the cpu ratio to get the computer to boot. Now when windows come ups it has a fuzzy multi split screen that you cant hardly read. I have a video card 4x-64mb in the agp slot that has always worked great.

Is there any setting in the bios that I need to change do to the fact that I reset them?

Thank you,

what does the screen look like? buy the sound of it, the resolution is set too high,.. have you tried booting windows in Safe mode yet?

When I boot in safe mode it works fine, the resolution is set low. When not in safe mode the screen flickers alot I see three of everything.

if it run's fine in safe mode, at least we know for sure the hardware works propperly :)
boot in safe mode, and set the resolution there to 800x600, you will notice that you dont change the reolution in safe mode, but when you reboot and start windows normally, you'll see that you changed the resolution of the normal window's.. :) (hopefully :P )

if that doesnt work.. try to uninstal the grafic's card drives in safe mode, and the reboot,.. then it should start op normally again, and just download the newest drivers then ( or if it were the newest one, try to get some older drivers, tough.. try the reolution change first.. because i'm pretty sure it's set too high :) )

I had a split screen issue a while back when I put my old rig at 1280 x 1024 on a crt with a max of 1024 x 768, dunno if that helps, but it maybe narrows the question down a bit:)

yup.. thats what makes me even more confident now.. ;) like i said, boot it in safe mode and put down the resolution settings of the grafic's card.
