Multi/Triple Monitors help

Hey. so a day ago i found a Aten 2 way vgs Video Splitter and i have been testing it out and i wanted to test if i could get up 3 monitors on my laptop.
The thing is that i cant enlarge the desktop like i do whit my laptop screen and a another monitor. It can only be in duplicate.

Is it possible to connect 2 monitors whitout have it duplicated on a laptop?
 
You'd need a dedicated video cable to expand it. Video splitters only duplicate.
