Hope someone can help with this.
Last year I bought a new HP PC that came with Windows 7. As recomended I made, or thought I had made, the back up discs. After a few months I realised that I had somehow got a virus so I decided to do a format and then reinstall Windows 7. However when I came to use the back up discs I discovered that disc 2 was blank ! To get my pc running, I installed Windows XP and then installed an upgrade to Windows 7. Now when my pc starts up I am given a choice of tthree operating systems to use, xp, a partially installed windows 7 and the upgraded windows 7. I want to get rid of all of these and install a brand new version of Windows 7 that I have. I have already tried to install this once but on start up,I still get the three choices listed above.
Should I do a full hard drive format and if so how do I do that as it appears that you cannot delete the partition (c drive) that the operating system is installed on.
