Multiple Versions of Visual C++ installed?

Before I do anything rash, and delete some programs, is having multiple Microsoft Visual C++ programs installed a good or a bad (or neutral) thing?

I have a 64-bit system.

I have installed:
-Visual C++ 2005 (x64)
-Visual C++ 2005 (doesn't say which version)
-Visual C++ 2008 (x86) 9.0.21022

I'm a bit worried about that 32-bit one. Is it safe to have? Should I go ahead and uninstall it?

Well i think its "neutral" to have these two versions installed. I say this because there are two visuals installed at each computer in my university programming class
