Hi, i've got to do a presentation on music downloading for portable devices.
I'm trying to put together a structure for my presentation. So far I've came across the "RIAA" (Recordin Industry Association of America) who seem to be an authority for preventing illegal music downloads. I've got a few questions:
1. Apparently the RIAA have filed quite a few lawsuits to illegal music downloaders. Where can I get references for these lawsuits?
2. Do the RIAA only prosecute American citizens?
3. What other authorities are there for downloading music?
I'm also stuck for any other ideas to throw into it, so all suggestions are welcome. For instance, what arguments can I get for people who think music downloading is a good idea?
And in general what would be some other good things to include?
I thought about giving a brief description of the different ways in which files can be downloaded. For example P2P networks/torrent uploads etc. What other are there?
P.S. The presentation covers video as well as music.
Hope you can give me some ideas, thanks for any replies.
