Music recording question...

With the soundcard I have (in sig) I am able to plug music objects into my soundcard bay. My brother has a band and has some recording equipment. We were just wondering if it would be possible to get his recording console thing, hooked up to my soundcard, & would we be able to edit the music that was recorded on the recorder?

If the answer is yes, do you guys happen to know of any good software that would allow us to tweak his already recorded music? I have searched, but only came up with programs to edit mp3's and such. We don't care if the program costs money...

Hopefully there's someone in the same boat, or similar, that would be able to help us.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's possible just hook it up to the input or Rear Mic Jack.... Might need some wires though..

I use Audacity, it's free!!
