This issue began in my other thread, (CD Rom not working) where origionally my CD Rom wasn't working. I fixed the problem with the help of you guys, by checking the cable. Although now when i play music CD's the song can play for ages but then stop and move onto the next track. It's like its ready the track as an introduction. I don't have this problem with music that is already on the system.
Another member told me to check the IDE controllers to see if it's running in UMDA mode. This is the information that i gathered.
Intel (r) 82801 AA Bus Master IDE controller.
Primary IDE Chanel - Transfer Mode: DMA (PIO was an option)
Current Transfer Mode: Ultra Mode 4.
Secondary IDE Channel - As Above.
I don't know what any of this means so can someone help.
Thanks
B.
