I have a lot of songs on my ipod.
How can I save them or transfer them. Since I am buying a new mp3 player, that probably wont be compatible with itunes...

Would it be a direct transfer?



I have them saved to an itunes music folder, in itunes, can that help me at all?

So once I purchase them via itunes, they only work with itunes?

....

That would make sense though...

But its not a universal format?
 
I am reading that....
If the itunes songs are burnt to a disk, and uploaded, it will pretty much convert itself into mp3 format.

And burning music to disks, if legal, as long as its not sold to anyone, which...I have no intention on doing.
