mw2 prestige ! ?

I just hit level 70 on pc and i'm not sure what to do....


Is there more than one prestige mode for mw2? do we just lvl up a second time and be done with it?


is there a point to restarting it all, other than having a few fancy pictures to add to my name..?
 
i think that prestige gives you extra custom slots to but i also believe that to do all means doing prestige 10 times.
 
I would personally do it sooner rather than later while you still like the game. I mean either way, you will be doing challenges and that to try and do it, you can do it a different way with different weapons because I don't know about you, but I have a niches of guns that I use at the moment and don't use any others really unless i get out of ammo and pick them up
 
I say go for pres....down the line IW might release a few new weapons thats available for Pres only?...who knows.

10 times! :mad: do we only get the custom slot after doing it 10 times?


it took me 90 hours to get to lvl 70, so it would take be about 800 hours to finish that :eek:

you get an extra custom slot, new challenges, new titles/icons every time you prestige. and yes there are 10 prestige levels.

ahh ok... the custom slots almost make it worth while


I'm at level 70 commander but the prestige button does not light up and allow me to click it... is there something else I have to do to earn it?

you have to complete level 70 first. go under barracks, when your xp is all the way up you will be able to prestige.
 
Is the info stored on the PC or server? For us that got 10x prestige on CoD5...we were more then surprised when we were forced to reinstall the game and lost all of our stuff.

Do you mean is our rank stored on our PC or server? For us that got 10x prestige on CoD5...we were more then surprised when we were forced to reinstall the game and lost all of our stuff. ank saved on our pcs or on the servers?

If thats what your asking its saved on their servers....this is what realy made my happy about MW2....no longer need to back up your own rank and usualy 98% of the time they fail when you restore them so you end up been a noob lvl again.

Well if IW dont release any new maps soon,everyone will have probably gone to BF-BC2 by then :D

I WANT MORE MAPS!!!!

I could fly the heli on BF2,but the jet i was useless at flying....i wish there was a way i could rotate the controls....Iirc,when you pulled down on the mouse the jet went up and when you pulled up it went down :(...and coming from playing Warrock which was the opposite controls it was just horrible.
 
well, with the Y-axis inverted its actually done propperly. but iirc you can invert it in the menu.
tough,.. the b est Battlefield game is still 1942. hope bad company will get close to that one.
 
il have to re-install BF2 and take a look,But i remember last time i re-installed it i had problems with patches and all that crap,Then it wouldnt let me log in and i gave up :D

Or i might just wait for the new BF....you think they will release a demo when the game comes out in March?

Anyhow i best stop making turning this MW2 thread into a Battlefield thread :D

I refuse to buy MW2 because I bought CoD5(andcod4) and it did nothing but crash and have issues. When they finally released a patch that fixed most of it I was more the bored. I did manage to get prestige 10x on it though. If i play it now I just play the zombie mode. Maybe ill have to jump on and see if theres anyone still playing regular multi-player on there.
