MX-2 any good?

Hi ramodkk,

what are your cpu temps...i see your also running at 2.7Ghz

Mines running about 51c on core 0 and 48c on core 1

thats under load as im converting movies.

I know its not realy that bad but i would like to improve my temps.

I don't remember my temps under load but they never went past 50 I think.

As we speak, mine is doing ~27C
 
Hmm 27c on idle...nice.

Thats the temps i want to get to but at the moment its just not happening lol
 
At idle, my temps are between 28-30. Remember, I have the B3 stepping and this chip tends to run a bit hotter than others.
 
Those are high idle temps for a Freezer 7 Pro :o

Have you considered changing your case? Maybe it's the airflow...

thats still a good temp though.....you said that B2 stepping runs hotter right?

I just looked in the overclocking details in Everest and my CPU stepping is also B2 :o

well yes actualy i have considred changing my case but i realy just think it needs alot of cable management as youve seen the pics of how it is atm.

also i have a 120MM fan at the front (Intake) of my case but realy its pointless been there as there is no holes in the front of my case :D
 
It's not pointless as long as theres is air going through it. A small opening in the bottom of the case that leads air into the fan is enough.
 
those temps are very hot for 2.7ghz on an AC freezer 7 pro. i would expect somewhere in the mid 30's
