What doesd that mean? i tryed it on a other computer and it showed the same vertical lines. After about 12 hours i tryed it on my own computer again and it worked for about 4 hours and then the same lines showed up. Can it be because i had my revolution on 1152x864? here is a link to my screen

Not certain but it would seem that your screen is defective. You might want to send it back for a new one.

thanks

Yea thats what im going to do.. So you dont think its my computer? my gfx is a 7800 GT and i have 2 places on the video card i can put my screen cable in, the one is a AVG i think its called and the other a DVI i put my screen cable in the AVG, thats correct right ? is there a possibility that it might be my screen connector cable thats defect ?

i forgot if its called AVG or something else APG maybe?

Thanks for your help

its VGA, and its not revolutions is resolution.. otherwise ur grammar is correct and also its not the cord, but the screen, i have the same screen and it works with my HP just fine.

I do believe you mean VGA but yes you can plug in your screen to the VGA or the DVI provided you have the cable. I would use DVI by the way. But when in doubt try it out :). plug it into the DVI and have a look C. either way I think your display is the problem. Even if it worked fine in DVI I would change the display for a new one.

DVI is a digital connection and VGA is an analog. Computers and video cards are digital devices so it makes sense to use the DVI provided you have the cord.

Ohh yea VGA. Srry.. So DVI will not dammage my screen at all? what if i choose VGA, will it make a big difference? Man it takes 6 days for my new screen to arrive to the UPS office. It feels like 6 weeks. LOL
So the problem with the screen has nothing to do with my computer?

Tahnsk for your help..

No DVI will absolutely not damage your screen. it's a digital device after all. I don't know if this will fix your problem but if it does then that means there is something wrong with the Analog (VGA) connection to your screen and you should replace it anyhow. As for difference in appearance on a good display between VGA and DVI I would say you prob would not notice a difference but I recommend using the DVI anyhow.

My gfx only takes DVI, but i use the converter for my screen.. I just hope my other screen that is comming soon works, or else it might have something with my computer to do..
