My 3d mark 06 score...feedback please

Hey guys,

i decided to run 3d mark 06 on my system,However im not exactly sure if the scores i get are good or not?

i ran 3d mark 06 before my overclock @ 1.86 and got 8191 3d marks

now i get 9555 3d marks at 2.3Ghz.

obviusly theres going to be alot of people come along here in this post saying its a crap score because they have like quads at 3ghz but i want to know if the score 9555 3d marks is good for my system.

I would've expected 10.2k from that system... Mine gets 12133 when fully OC'ed...

My system seems to be laggy in games lately, I think it's my router/modem.
 
hmmmm i would say that score (before OC) isnt too good. my system gets like 8500 or something... and i have a terrible cpu. same gfx card... less memory. slightly worse motherboard...

so yeah. i dont understand it.
 
well im happy with it for now,No point in upgrading for a while yet.

it plays cod4,crysis on high settings without lag so im happy.
 
but i still dont understand. your system shouldnt get less then me. its better in every way except gfx card. which is even.
 
Maybe its because your cpu is clocked higher...yours been 3.6 ghz and mine 2.3 but i thought this didnt apply to the c2d series :confused:

i dont know :D
 
vista will get a lower 3dmark06 score than XP if everything else is the same, vista is just a more power hungry operating system

actually, its on the order of thousans. now, before you start arguing, i work at a custom computer building store as a PC technician, i build 10-15 computers every week, at least 7 of which are always gaming PCs. I have seen every hardware combination you can imagine, with both XP and Vista. I know what I am talking about, Vista reduces the score by at least 10%, usually more.
