Heey Everyone!
today i found out more interesting fkdup stuff about my Graphics Card :]
couple months ago i found out something funny about my Graphics Card:
it has a strange noise everytime i startup my computer... sound like there would be an bee nest or something in the computer...
Last week i started hearing more weird noises from it.. this time it was when it was running (had been running for couple of days)..
so i think there seriously is some problem with the Graphics Card Cooler.. do you think?...
+ that it's only a 517mb (not 512 o.O?) and i would need some more powerful, like atleast 1gb or more...
(and i only have 512mb RAM so i should upgrade that too..)

#1 Question: would it be time to change Graphics Card?
#2 Question: do you have any good suggestions on some "cheap" but good graphics card (don't write here like nVidia GeForce 580GTX or whatever it is :P)?

Considering you only have 512mb ram im guessing you have an older cpu as well, in which case i would suggest a full new set up.

Then again if you only use your pc for looking on the internet then you should be ok and ram wouldnt hurt.

for a cheap one just for normal daily things look at the HD5450, it's basically an htpc card. for a little bit of low end gaming with some nicer settings there is the HD5670.

jonnyp11 are those 512mb or 1gb? i would most likely want an 1gb.. and are they good for gaming?

is nVidia GT220 any good for gaming?

no for gaming you want a hd 6850 or gtx 460 minimum for decent settings at 1080, for less and a bit less settings go for a 5770/6770

or even a 5830 theyre going cheap these days

make sure your psu is upto standard first though

okay okay, my bad, i didn't mean HC Gaming.... just normal.. something like TrackMania 2 Canyon on full graphics could be nice...
is ATi Radeon HD 5550 anything good?

oh bother...
He can play games with most of those, just not on high...
OP: the best option would be the 5570, but really your limiting factor is your cpu, its pretty old, and the ram is also a major factor...
All of them will be quite a bit more powerful than your x1550, so just get anyone if your just looking to replace your card...

Cards: full-height cards supported

PCI:

PCI Express:
