My case fan

Hi,

Pertaining to my case model in my signature, also found here:
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811119068

I am finding that at least 65% of the time, the fan that is factory included in the back of the case ( I believe it is to take the air inside and blow it outside) doesn't power on. I am needing to unscrew the case, take off the side panel and THEN with my index finger give it a little spin and *suddenly* it will start as if it thinks the computer has just been turned on.

Any reason for this? Anything I can do to feel relaxed that my fan is working to keep the air temperature down as it is supposed to without a start from the computer user?

Thanks!

Try using a duster and dust the fan a little, that's what i did to my fan which had the same problem as yours. Or you can just buy a new fan, which is pretty cheap.

Sounds like a bad wire. Sounds like a power issue. A short in the wire.

Is the fan ball bearing or sleeve?
