My computer become very slow

Beginning it was ok. Not slow. After i install genuine Avira Internet Security it become very slow. Any suggestion?
My computer spec:
Intel Q6600 Quad 2.4 GHz
3GB RAM
160GB HDD
MSI GTX 550TI
550W PSU
ASUS P5QL-PRO
WINDOWS 7-32Bit

Check that Avira isn't always doing some kind of scan. That is usually what causes major slowdown on computers with AV installed.

You state after you install Avira , Did Avira replace a previous antivirus and did you uninstall the previous AV.
Have you tried uninstalling Avira and trying Avast or AVG

Go into msconfig and check windows defender is disabled.
