Thanks for you interest -Post some system specs for the guys to work on.
They cant realy help ya mate if they dont have any info to go on.
How much ram you have?
Sorry - XP Pro SP2What operating system or version of Windows are you running? That can also be a help in solving any software related problem being seen.
I click My Compute - the hour glass comes up and then the flashlight starts "searching" and then finally the drives show up.What do you mean by "it appears to be looking for something"?
Thanks of the interest - 2 Western Digital 80 gig - single partitions - I can go to the Run command and enter C: or F: and they come up fine - just doesn't like My Computer! How many drives do you have? My computer has done that on occasion, because I have about 20 logical drives.
Thanks PC eye - I have my real legal copy of the CD (amazing huh?) and I'm running the sfc now - will report out.Do you have the installation disk available? the sfc utility will need that to verify files.

Good thought - but still get the "Flashlight" searching.Ok. What happens when you surf to /Documents and Settings/{your username}/Local Settings/Application Data and delete the IconCache.db file? Do that and try accessing your drives a couple of times. Let me know what happens.
