i "downgraded" to windows 7 64bit and HP doesnt offer support for windows 7 on this computer so i downloaded this driver

anyways ever since my wireless mouse works very erratically (gearhead mouse) so i bought a logitech and the logitech is not working properly either. my logitech wireless keyboard was working fine for a couple days but just now started acting a little laggy.

everything has been plugged into the usb 2.0 ports nothing in the 3.0 ports
i have disabled the wireless card
I have tried using the wireless peripherals sitting right in front of the computer
wired usb peripherals work perfectly fine

any ideas would b great because im stumped

and i forgot to mention my old computer will operate the wireless peripherals perfectly with the exact same surroundings in my living room so its not interference from anything

Since you messed around with the OSes (not generally the best idea on production computers), 2 questions.
1. Look in device manager and look for any yellow ! marks in there. if there are any, tell us what they are (as that would be a missing driver).

2. Did you use a legal copy of windows 7? As in did you buy it?

Also completely unrelated. If your wireless adapters are plugged in to the rear I/O ports, then move them up front and retry them. I know with my case I have issues with laggy or completely unresponsive keyboards with them plugged in out back. Move them up front and they work fine.

thank you for the reply

it is a bootlegged copy of windows
device manager says i don't have a driver for the SM bus controller and doesn't give me the option to search for one

i actually did just start using the peripherals in my front 3.0 usb ports and they seem to be working fine also i plugged my wired peripherals in the back and they seem to be working fine in the back where the wireless receiver was plugged in

so im assuming i need to use them in the front I/O

We can not help you with a bootleg copy of windows. All we are allowed to say is move back to your legal copy (the original).
